Children’s Institute Publisher Consultations to Feature Six Indie Publishers

At the Publisher Consultations at next month’s ABC Children’s Institute in Portland, Oregon, representatives from six small presses will be on hand to discuss their upcoming titles and share finished books and advance reader copies with attending booksellers.

Booksellers can visit with publisher representatives on a walk-in basis on Friday, April 7, from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The publishers will be stationed outside the Grand Ballroom of the Red Lion Hotel on the River – Jantzen Beach.

The Publisher Consultations, which debuted at the 2017 Winter Institute, enable booksellers to connect with smaller publishers whose limited marketing budgets prohibit them from participating in the institute in a larger way. Consultation tables will be spread out so booksellers and publishers can have discreet conversations.
