Health Insurance Survey Closes With Input From 350 Respondents

Last month, booksellers from coast to coast spoke up about health insurance preferences in a brief survey distributed by the American Booksellers Association.

The survey seeking input on group health insurance options was sent to one bookseller at each ABA member bookstore on November 7. The survey received 350 responses.

For many years, at the urging of its members, ABA has been exploring the feasibility of developing some form of group health insurance for stores to offer employees. ABA is working with several other book industry associations to identify options for health insurance for their collective memberships.

While this is simply the first step in a potentially lengthy process and there is no guarantee of any specific outcome, ABA is very appreciative of the data that booksellers provided through the recent survey.
