The Affordable Care Act and how it will affect indie bookstores will be the focus of a free healthcare reform webinar hosted by the Small Business Majority and the American Booksellers Association on Tuesday, March 26, at 2:30 p.m. EDT. Registration for the webinar, “Your Bottom Line: What Healthcare Reform Means for Your Small Business,” is required.
The hour-long event, exclusively for ABA members, aims to help booksellers make the most of the Affordable Care Act’s small-business provisions.
The webinar will feature Erica Dowell, the Southern outreach manager for the Small Business Majority, and David Grogan, senior public policy analyst for ABA.
Topics to be covered include:
- Small business tax credits (available to businesses and tax-exempt nonprofits) — who is eligible for them and how to claim them
- National health insurance exchange overview
- Shared responsibility
- Cost containment
- Tools and resources available for small businesses interested in learning more about the law
A question-and-answer period will end the program.
