Response to a special e-mail sent to ABA bookstore members on September 9 announcing reservation information for the Hotel ABA/Chicago, the exclusive host hotel for ABA bookseller members at BookExpo America 2004 (BEA), has been very positive, and rooms are now being reserved on a first come, first served basis. Most of the Allerton Crowne Plaza's rooms have been reserved for ABA booksellers at a special low price, and ABA and BEA have created a special complimentary package of benefits. BEA 2004 will be held at the McCormick Place Convention Center from June 2 - 6, but booksellers can begin taking advantage of this special package on May 25 and extending to June 7.

In addition to the special room rate of $115 per night, during the show, the Hotel ABA/Chicago will feature complimentary coffee and pastries each morning; a series of publisher-sponsored receptions each evening; an exclusive ABA member hospitality suite, providing a convenient meeting place for booksellers; a special ABA/BEA concierge table in the hotel lobby, where booksellers can pick up BEA badge-holders, copies of the BEA exhibitors' guide, updated information about convention events, and a welcome package with special surprises from ABA and publishers; special dedicated shuttle bus service between the Allerton and the Convention Center; and ARCs placed on pillows each night.
