New Travel System and $30 Day Passes for ABA Bookstore Members

Traveling and registering for BookExpo America (BEA) has never been easier or more cost efficient. For the first time, BEA show organizers will be offering one-day passes to ABA bookstore members for the show, which will be held from May 30 - June 1 in Los Angeles.

The new one-day pass is $30 for ABA bookstore members if purchased before May 4, 2003 (pre-registration is required). The new initiative is designed to provide additional cost-efficient benefits to booksellers and to encourage additional booksellers to attend the convention.

"The new one-day pass will more effectively allow bookstore owners to bring more buyers to BEA than in prior years, while also providing additional buying, author event, and educational opportunity for staff members," noted Greg Topalian, BEA show manager.

Passes must be picked up at the show and are good for one day only. Day passes will not be available for purchase on-site.

To pre-register for the one-day pass and to book your hotel and travel, visit the BEA Web site, at www.bookexpoamerica.com, or call (800) 840-5614. The best travel deals, including the lowest applicable airfare, hotel, and car rental rates, are also only a click away through BEA's new travel site, which utilizes SABRE, the world's leading online travel system. The new travel site now includes both preferred convention hotels offering the most convenient accommodation and rates, as well as non-convention hotels.
