IndieCommerce to Offer Increased Security for Credit Card Transactions

Over the next few weeks, the IndieCommerce team will be rolling out a new technology from Authorize.net called Accept.js.

This new system allows for PCI-compliant payment processing, through which sensitive cardholder data, including full credit card numbers and card security codes, never touch booksellers’ websites.

While IndieCommerce sites are already PCI complaint, the use of Accept.js takes credit card security to the next level.

For IndieCommerce sites that use their own Authorize.net account, IndieCommerce staff will forward instructions for how to process the upgrade. For IndieCommerce sites that use ABA’s Authorize.net account, IndieCommerce staff will handle the upgrade.

Questions about Accept.js can be directed to [email protected].

Booksellers also have a few more opportunities to meet with IndieCommerce staff during the fall regional trade show season. IndieCommerce staff are available for one-on-one appointments at the following shows:

Booksellers are asked to sign up in advance via the links above. A limited number of spots are available, so please choose multiple times to ensure securing an appointment. Booksellers will receive an e-mail confirmation with an appointment time. Booksellers who need to cancel or change an appointment should email [email protected] as soon as possible.
