Here's the latest news from the IndieCommunication e-newsletter:

Credit Card Processing and Order Editing: IndieCommerce stores using their own credit card processor and Authorize.net account can now edit orders in “Payment Received” status, issue refunds to customers’ credit cards, and process additional charges for the order. All these transactions can be initiated from the order on the IndieCommerce site (IC), without having to login to Authorize.net. For booksellers who weren’t able to attend last week’s webinar on credit card processing or would like to review it again, the recording is now available.

Bulk Order Processing: Stores that are using the previous version of the Bulk Order Processing feature should contact [email protected] if the below updates aren’t appearing.

If you would like to have these features enabled on your site, send a request from the Store Features page on your IC site. Go to: Store -> Configuration -> Account Information and Preferences -> Store Features

1. Bulk Order Processing Allows stores to process orders in bulk, move orders from one status to another, add admin comments, and send notification emails to customers. The comments and email copy will be the same for all the orders processed together. We also included the option to print invoices in bulk. Go to: Store -> Orders -> Bulk Order Operations -> Process Orders

Note: Please use this feature with caution. Actions cannot be reversed.

2. Bulk Order Processing by SKU Allows stores to process orders in bulk for a particular SKU (useful for preorders), move orders from one status to another, add admin comments, and send notification emails to customers. The comments and email copy will be the same for all the orders processed together. We also included the option to print invoices in bulk. Go to: Store -> Orders -> Bulk Order Operations -> Process Orders by SKU

Note: Please use this feature with caution. Actions cannot be reversed.

3. Bulk Order Invoice Printing Allows stores to print invoices in bulk. This feature is for stores that don’t want to process orders in bulk (if you are concerned your staff might make a mistake) but only print the invoices in bulk. Go to: Store -> Orders -> Bulk Order Operations -> Process Orders by SKU

4. Stores’ Authorize.net Information For stores preparing to transition to their own credit card processor and Authorize.net accounts, please submit the Authorize.net information we need. Go to: Store -> Configuration -> Account Information and Preferences -> Store Authorize.net Information

Please note that the above changes are not applicable to IndieLite websites.
