Limited Seats Still Available for IndieCommerce Institute

Teacher and studentAt the January 22 IndieCommerce Institute at Winter Institute in Memphis, there is one seat still available for the afternoon seminar, which will cover “Views” and “Google Analytics for IndieCommerce.” The morning seminar has just five seats available for booksellers to learn about “Optimizing Checkout for Higher Conversion” and “E-mail Subscription, Marketing, and Promotional Campaigns.” Details on each of these sessions and an online sign-up form are available on BookWeb.

Upcoming Online Marketing Roundtable

Teacher and students on laptopsA bi-monthly video chat discussing online marketing is scheduled for every other Thursday at 11:00 a.m. EST (including tomorrow, January 11). Booksellers who would like to participate should e-mail ABA IndieCommerce Director Phil Davies to request an invitation. These are quick, 30-minute video chat sessions in which booksellers have an open exchange of online marketing ideas. Bring your own coffee and donuts.

Booksellers who participated in the December 14 online marketing roundtable hosted by ABA’s IndieCommerce team discussed the benefits of segmenting e-mail newsletters rather than sending out a single one-size-fits-all version.
