Indies First Logo Available for Download

To aid booksellers, authors, and publishers in promoting Indies First –– the grassroots movement initiated by Sherman Alexie earlier this month –– a logo has been created and made available for download in BookWeb’s Designs and Downloads.

Indies First coincides with Small Business Saturday, celebrated on November 30 this year, and is an opportunity for authors to show their support for independent bookstores, while introducing themselves to their community.

Just weeks since its inception, Indies First has already received a huge amount of support. There is still plenty of time for authors and booksellers who want to join the Indies First movement to indicate their interest here; however, it is a grassroots movement, so after signing on, authors are encouraged to reach out to their local bookstores and bookstores should reach out to local authors to make their own arrangements.
