The list of titles on LGBTQ issues, acceptance, and grief suggested by booksellers and compiled by the American Booksellers Association in the wake of the tragedy in Orlando has been updated this week with more than 100 additional recommendations.

The initial list, which was sent to stores via e-mail on Friday, June 17, has now grown to more than 430 titles. All ABA members can continue to suggest books for the list, which is available as an Excel file on BookWeb.org. Recommendations should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] with the title, author name (first and last), ISBN, publisher, and category (LGBTQ, acceptance, or grief). Booksellers are encouraged to check the list before sending a recommendation to be sure the title is not already featured.

A flier of children’s backlist titles on LGBTQ themes, which was available at the June 21 Children’s Institute Welcome Reception and Backlist Book Swap Party, is downloadable as a PDF on the same BookWeb resource page.
