Maria’s Bookshop Celebrates 35 Years in Business

Maria’s Bookshop in Durango, Colorado, is thanking its community on its 35th anniversary with a celebration of the rich history of the shop and a commitment to an exciting future.

From September 9 to 14, customers can visit Maria’s to take advantage of:

Evan Schertz, son of Maria’s Bookshop owners Andrea Avantaggio and Peter Schertz, is taking over as owner of the store. Started by Dusty Teal in 1984, the store has been owned by Andrea Avantaggio and Peter Schertz for the past 21 years.
