New and Ongoing E-Book Promotions

This week, BTW begins what will become a regular column highlighting ongoing and upcoming publisher e-book promotions featured on IndieCommerce.com’s Publisher Promotions page. Details provided on IndieCommerce.com include product numbers and promotional materials provided by publishers to help stores draw attention to e-book titles on sale. No action is necessary on the part of booksellers to change the prices as they appear on their IndieCommerce site’s product pages.

Publishers with upcoming e-book promotions are encouraged to send details and promotional materials to IndieCommerce Service Rep Valerie Federici.

HarperCollins — Book Club Girl’s E-Book Bonanza
In celebration of October as National Reading Group Month, HarperCollins is offering 12 books for book clubs for $2.99 each for the entire month. Also available is a podcast of each author being interviewed by readers.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt — October $3.99 Specials
Six e-books priced at $3.99 each till October 30.

Random House — October E-Book Sale
Twelve e-books, including children’s titles, ranging in price from $1.99 to $3.99 for the entire month of October.

Unbridled Books — $3.99 - $4.99 Promotion
Between September 12 and December 31, Unbridled is offering five titles at either $3.99 or $4.99. The duration of the promotion is different for each title.

Algonquin — When She Woke Bundling Promotion
Customers who purchase the print version When She Woke at an indie bookstore are eligible to receive a free DRM-free copy of the e-book, compatible with any e-reader. Promotional postcards provided by Algonquin point customers to IndieBound.org to redeem their download; however, a template that stores can use to direct customers directly to their site is available on IndieCommerce.com.
