Coronavirus: A Book for Children

Nosy Crow, a distribution line of Candlewick Press, has created the free digital book Coronavirus: A Book for Children, which was developed with input from a professor of infectious disease and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

The informational guide defines coronavirus, explains why everyday routines have been disrupted, and lays out how everyone can do their part to help.

The book addresses key questions including:

  • How do you catch coronavirus and what happens if you have it?
  • Why are people so worried about it?
  • Is there a cure?
  • Why do we have to stay home?
  • What can I do to help?
  • What happens next?

Within the first few days of its availability earlier this month, the book was downloaded more than 500,000 times. The book can be downloaded now from Candlewick’s website.
