Original Children’s Art to Be Raffled at BEA

Lovers of original children’s art who cannot attend the Children’s Art Auction and Reception on Wednesday evening at BookExpo America will still have an opportunity to win one of 11 pieces to be raffled during the auction, including works by Bruce Degen, Chris Raschka, and Mo Willems. Raffle tickets can be purchased during the day on Wednesday, June 6, in the auction preview area at the end of the South Concourse (Level 2) in the Javits Convention Center, where the raffle artwork will also be on display.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20.  Winners who are not attending the auction will be notified on Thursday.

Tickets for the Children’s Art Auction and Reception, to be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on June 6, at BEA, are still available. They are $95 ($75 for bookseller members of the ABC Children’s Group) and can be purchased here. Tickets purchased at the event or during the preview on Wednesday will be $105 ($85 for ABC booksellers). A preview of the auction art is online here.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression and its defense of the free speech rights of young readers.
