PartnerShip/FedEx will be providing on-site discount shipping for participants in the American Booksellers Association's 2008 Winter Institute who are enrolled in the ABA Discount Shipping Program. The shipping desk, which will be open on Saturday, January 26, from noon to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, January 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will be available to all Wi3 participants; however, to receive discounted rates, attendees must be enrolled in the ABA Discount Shipping Program.

"This is a very convenient service for all ABA members who will be picking up so much of value at the Winter Institute, including books and ARCs provided by our publisher partners," said ABA COO Oren Teicher. "Thanks to the cooperation of PartnerShip/FedEx it will very easy for everyone to ship materials back home. We hope that those who aren't currently signed up for ABA's Discount Shipping Program will sign up now to take advantage of the special discounts."

Wi3 registrants participating in the ABA Discount Shipping Program will simply need to bring the items they wish to ship and their FedEx account number to the shipping desk, which will be located on the second floor of the Louisville Marriott Downtown, where ABA's Welcome Desk will have been a couple days earlier. The shipping desk will be manned by representatives from FedEx and PartnerShip. FedEx Express boxes will be available free of charge, and FedEx Ground boxes will be available for $3.50 per box. FedEx will also be waiving the service/handling fee. All charges will be applied to the customer's next bill.

ABA members who are not already signed up with PartnerShip/FedEx can easily do so at www.partnership.com/07aba. It's free to enroll, and there are no shipping minimums, no volume requirements, and no obligations. Wi3 attendees will also be able to sign up on site.

Wi3 attendees who do not participate in the ABA Discount Shipping Program will be able to use the FedEx service, but they won't receive a discount, and they will need to bring a valid MasterCard, Visa, or AMEX card for payment.
