Post-Holiday Survey Deadline January 27

The American Booksellers Association is urging member bookstores to submit their responses to the eighth annual post-holiday survey, conducted by the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR) and Advocates for Independent Business (AIB), before the midnight January 27 deadline. A link to the survey, which takes less than 10 minutes to complete, was sent to stores in a January 5 e-mail from ABA CEO Oren Teicher. Bookstores that did not receive the e-mail should contact ABA Senior Public Policy Analyst David Grogan.

Responses to the survey are completely confidential.

Past surveys have provided unique and important data about the viability of independent businesses and the impact of the localism movement. Last year, more than 3,000 local businesses took part in the survey, and its findings were featured in dozens of national and local news stories across the country.
