This winter’s Seattle Gift Show, a wholesale trade show for buyers of gift merchandise and home furnishings, will take place from Saturday, January 18, through Tuesday, January 21, at the Washington State Convention Center. Booksellers who are in Seattle before the kickoff of the Winter Institute can attend the gift show free of charge and take advantage of the opportunity to explore 10,000 innovative, new product lines.

A special section of the show will highlight companies whose products are Made in America, as well as gift items made locally in the West. Featured items include tableware, jewelry/fashion accessories, folk art, pottery, candles, furniture, garden décor, textiles, gourmet foods, stationery, personal accessories, and more.

“This is the kind of show where you’re going to find unique lines that will set your store apart,” said Jhana Jordan, director of key accounts for show organizer Urban Expositions.

To receive a complimentary admission and a lunch voucher, Winter Institute registrants should e-mail Jordan their bookstore name and the names of those attending. Those who pre-register will receive a full-color product preview guide.

Booksellers will also be able to register onsite at the Washington State Convention Center. One form of personal identification and two forms of business identification will be required for admittance to the show.

On Sunday and Monday, January 19 – 20, there will be a free shuttle service for ABA members running from the Westin Seattle to the convention center. Specific hours of operation will be posted outside the hotel.
