The American Booksellers Association is asking member booksellers who participated in Winter Institute 8 to complete a short survey about all aspects of last month’s event in Kansas City. The survey will arrive via e-mail within the next few days.

ABA staff will use the information that booksellers provide to help formulate plans for future Winter Institutes and other ABA educational offerings.

Booksellers with questions about the survey should contact ABA Education Manager Lisa Winn.

ABA is also reminding booksellers who went to the CAMEX trade show during Wi8 that they may be entitled to a $100 refund for placing an order as a result of their visit. To claim the rebate, booksellers must complete the $100 CAMEX Rebate Form, attesting that they attended both ABA’s Winter Institute 8 in Kansas City and CAMEX 2013 and placed an order between February 24 and April 1, 2013, with a vendor exhibiting at CAMEX 2013. A copy of the purchase order must also be sent to ABA Member Relationship Manager Nathan Halter via e-mail or by fax to (914) 417-4013, on or before May 15, 2013. ABA will mail the $100 rebate within eight weeks from receipt of the request and PO. One rebate per member business is allowed.

The next Winter Institute will be in Seattle, Washington. An opening reception on Tuesday evening, January 21, 2014, will kick off three full days of educational programming, from Wednesday, January 22, through Friday, January 24. With bookseller input from today’s survey, ABA hopes 2014 will be the best Winter Institute yet!
