The Buzz Tab, which is designed to show you the titles getting the most attention in Edelweiss, from Shelf Activity to Reviews, will help you determine the titles that are likely going to be a big deal once they’re published, at least according to the excitement of your fellow Edelweiss users.

For a quick tutorial on how to use this page, click the aptly named “How do I use this page?” link in the upper right corner of the Buzz Tab.

The filters available in the Community dropdown menu may vary between users. For example, all users who work for stores who use Treeline Analytics will have a “Treeline Retailers” filter, which will, of course, show selections from the best and brightest stores… We kid, we kid.

If you do not, however, show an American Booksellers Association filter, it simply means that your store has not yet been “validated” as an ABA member.

This is easy to do and will actually be an important and useful tool in the new version of Edelweiss releasing this summer. You’ll just need to go to Administration->Validated Affiliations in Edelweiss and have your ABA member ID handy. This only needs to be done once per store for the validation to work for all other users at your store. If you don’t know your ABA member ID, the good folks at the ABA can help you out, of course.

Once set up, you’ll be able to quickly see the titles that have the most review and shelf activity in Edelweiss among ABA members. Seeing titles what your incredibly smart and passionate group of colleagues is excited about can be extremely useful and can help ensure you’re not missing something big.
