There are a number of new ways to filter a catalog or list of titles in Edelweiss+ that can really help you to quickly see those things most relevant to your current project. Catalogs load in their entirety in Edelweiss+, which means that filtering and sorting happen pretty instantly. You can filter a list on the fly without any real interruption to your work.

You can, of course, filter (or “Refine”) by the usual elements, like Publication Date, Binding, Imprint, etc. You can also filter by the Priority level added by your sales reps as well as by their Tags. Filtering by your own Tags, as well as those created by your coworkers, is quick and easy, too.

Especially useful if you tend to go through catalogs in phases, or if you buy with your colleagues as a team, is filtering according to order status. If a title is on an Edelweiss order already, you can filter it out, thereby browsing just through titles not yet ordered. You can also refine by the titles that are on an order to double-check quantities. Treeline Analytics customers can even filter by “Stock Status,” which will show an on-hand or on-order status as sent in your nightly Treeline feed.

Those re-cataloged titles already on order from previous seasons would be easy to catch here, although there are also alerts for such things right at the given title.

You may also now set up a series of saved filters, which you can apply to any title list. For example, if you buy a specific set of categories at your store, you can set a saved filter for just those sorts of titles.  Find details about this tool, My Search Filters, here.
