Two Book Sense 76 Recommendations Featured in October The Atlantic Monthly

The October issue of The Atlantic Monthly will include two bookmark-style ads featuring Book Sense 76 recommendations from booksellers with Book Sense.

In one ad, Susan Diffenderfer of Tall Tales Book Shop in Atlanta, Georgia, recommends the number-one September/October Book Sense 76 pick, Uniform Justice: A Commissario Guido Brunetti Mystery, by Donna Leon (Atlantic Monthly Press). Diffenderfer describes Uniform Justice as "a riveting mystery set in Venice [that] captures the heart and mood of this beautiful city. Commissario Brunetti proves a likeable, intelligent detective, and his family and other characters in the book stay with you long after the book is completed." Deafening: A Novel, by Frances Itani (Atlantic Monthly Press), number five on the September/October 76, is recommended by Marian Nielsen of Orinda Books in Orinda, California, in the second Atlantic Monthly ad.
