This week marks the unveiling of the American Booksellers Association’s redesigned Bookselling This Week e-newsletter.
The new, cleaner, and more user-friendly design is based on feedback from ABA member booksellers on the Marketing Task Force and the Booksellers Advisory Council, as well as on responses from ABA’s recent communications audit and member satisfaction surveys.
The redesign features a new logo as well as an emphasis on the newsletter’s acronym and its new tagline: “BTW: The Source for Independent Bookselling.”
As part of the new format, articles will be grouped by topic for easier browsing and sharing with staff. In addition, photos will be more prominent throughout the newsletter; more white space will allow for an easier read; and convenient links to ABA’s social media pages will help booksellers find ABA online.
The new design will also include a fun “one-second survey,” which will ask booksellers for quick input on a variety of topics.
All bookstore staff members are encouraged to subscribe to Bookselling This Week (BTW) to stay up-to-date on ABA events, special promotions, and important educational materials.
As always, ABA values the opportunity to share breaking news and updates about its bookstore members; BTW welcomes all comments, suggestions, queries, and letters to the editor at email@example.com.
