Wi12 Publisher Consultations to Start One Hour Earlier

The first-ever Publisher Consultations at a Winter Institute will now start at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, January 30, and end as previously scheduled, at 5:00 p.m. During the event in the Great Lakes Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, booksellers will have the opportunity to meet face to face with representatives of 14 mostly small- and mid-size companies on a walk-in basis.

The participating publishers, who are mostly new to the Winter Institute, are: AdventureKEEN, City Lights, Coach House Books, Dundurn, Hawthorne Books & Literary Arts, Independent Publishers Group (IPG), Pegasus Books, Phaidon, The Quarto Group, Red Wheel/Weiser/Conari, Second Story Press, Shadow Mountain Publishing, Verso, and the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.

Publishers will chat with booksellers about their company’s publishing programs and are invited to bring copies of their books to support their presentations, with additional copies for giveaway. Consultation tables will be spread out in a large ballroom so booksellers and publishers will be able to have discreet conversations.

Many of the Publisher Consultation participants will also be hosting authors at the Wi12 Closing Reception on Monday evening, January 30.
