The American Booksellers Association is inviting all member booksellers to take part in the Winter Institute 10th Anniversary Commemorative Design Contest, celebrating the past 10 years of learning, networking, friendships, and special events at ABA’s premier education event. The winning design will be featured on T-shirts at Winter Institute 2015, to be held in Asheville, North Carolina, from February 8 to 11, and members will be able to create their own merchandise through Redbubble prior to the event.

Designs can be edgy, funny, colorful, literary, energetic, or whatever a bookseller thinks best represents ABA’s Winter Institute.

The contest is open to booksellers at all ABA member stores, regardless of whether they will be attending the Winter Institute. Submissions of original, Winter Institute-themed designs will be accepted through August 29. Four finalists will be chosen by ABA, and one grand prize-winning design will be chosen by the membership. Voting will take place September 2 – 30, and the winner will be announced on or around October 1. The grand prize is $150.

Winter Institute volunteers and select guests will receive a commemorative T-shirt featuring the winning design, and a limited quantity will be sold at the event. Design files will be uploaded to Redbubble for those interested in creating their own merchandise.
