The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation [5] may be able to help owners or employees with personal household expenses related to a natural disaster. In addition, Binc can assist with expenses directly related to the store in certain cases.

Here are a few ways that the Binc Foundation may be able to help.

• If displaced employees need financial assistance to move into a new or temporary residence and are unable to cover the associated expenses, the employee can apply for assistance.
• If any employee lost more than 50 percent of their weekly work hours due to the winter storm and this is causing financial hardship, they qualify to apply for assistance.
• If a store is damaged and must close due to the storm, we may be able to help with certain expenses to help it reopen more quickly.
