Posters by New Yorker Cartoonists to Benefit Book Industry Foundation [4]

At this year's BookExpo America, the Book Industry Foundation will be selling two book-related posters based on cartoons featured in The Complete Cartoons of The New Yorker, coming from Black Dog & Leventhal in September. Proceeds from sales of the posters will benefit the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) and the Association of American Publishers' "Get Caught Reading" campaign.

The 14" x 20" posters, featuring cartoons created by Bob Mankoff and Mick Stevens, will be sold for $10 each during the three days of the trade show (Friday, June 4 - Sunday, June 6) and on the ABFFE Web site after the show. Mankoff, who is cartoon editor for The New Yorker, will be signing posters at the ABFFE booth, located by the Grand Concourse North Lobby, on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

The posters can be previewed on the ABFFE Web site at www.abffe.com/BIFposters.htm [5].

ABFFE and AAP's "Get Caught Reading Campaign" will also be the beneficiaries of a special performance by comedian, actor, and author George Carlin at this year's show on Saturday, June 5. (For more information, click here [6].)
