Winter Institute Registration Reaches Capacity -- Waiting List Now Forming [3]

Registration for the American Booksellers Association's Second Annual Winter Institute [4] -- a two-day education symposium being held in Portland, Oregon, on February 1 - 2 -- is currently filled to capacity. Registration for the Winter Institute was capped at 500 booksellers, and as of noon Eastern Standard Time on Monday, November 6, the last spot was filled.

Booksellers registering after noon on November 6 are being placed on a waiting list. As cancellations come in, open spots will be filled from the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.

ABA is asking registered booksellers who are no longer planning to attend to contact the association's Margaret Nafz [5] via e-mail to cancel their reservations, so that waiting booksellers can fill their spaces.

Those whose registration for the event has been confirmed, but who have not yet reserved a room at the event hotel, the Portland Doubletree at Lloyd's Center, should do so as soon as possible via a form [6] on ABA's trade website, BookWeb.org.

General questions about the Winter Institute should be addressed to ABA Education Director Len Vlahos [7]; questions about registration should be addressed to Nafz [5].
