Booksellers can now download the April Indie Next List Notables title recommendations from BookWeb.org in flier [5] and shelf-talker [6] formats. Each month, the Indie Next List Notables showcase outstanding writing recommended by indie booksellers nationwide.

The April Notables fiction list includes titles as diverse as Beautiful Assassin (Morrow), the story of the relationship between Eleanor Roosevelt and a former Soviet sniper, and The Irresistible Henry House (Random House), based on the real-life "practice houses" of 1950s college home economics courses. In addition, Walter Mosley offers the second outing for his newest hero, Leonid McGill, in Known to Evil (Riverhead).

In nonfiction, two memoirs --- each both harrowing and humorous --- are featured. Dead End Gene Pool (Gotham) details life as a Vanderbilt in the mid-20th century, while How to Be a Sister: A Love Story With a Twist of Autism reflects on growing up with a sibling who is "different." Additional inspiration may be found in Every Dog Has a Gift: True Stories of Dogs Who Bring Hope & Healing Into Our Lives (Tarcher/Penguin).
