Over the last few weeks, the American Booksellers Association has rolled out ordering information for the newest line of Kobo devices: the Kobo Aura, the Kobo Aura HD, the Kobo Arc 7, and the Kobo Arc 7HD. Special launch terms are available to ABA member program participants who order the devices from Ingram between October 1 and November 30, 2013. The Kobo section of BookWeb’s Designs and Downloads [7] features charts to help ABA members understand all of the features of the new devices as well as two devices already in stores, the Kobo Aura HD and the Kobo Glo.

The charts, as well as banners, posters, and product images for the devices, are organized by model. Stores can also create an account at DiscoverKobo.com [8] for access to training materials.

Stores purchasing 12 or more units of a new device are eligible for a free demo unit; those purchasing fewer than 12 devices can purchase a demo unit through Ingram. Demo details are available here. [9]

This holiday season, Workman Publishing is serving up 101 eBooks for cooking, crafting, and gift-making for $4.99 or less.  The promotion runs from November 15 through December 31 and  includes titles across six categories: Sweets/Baking, Holiday Feasts, Crafts/DIY Gifts, Hosting & Entertaining, Drinks, and Special Diets.

The Workman holiday microsite, homemadeholiday101.com, which will categorize and display all titles for the duration of the promotion, will include a special ad linking to the IndieBound Kobo Store Finder [10].

A daily Workman e-newsletter, which will be archived on the Homemade Holiday blog, homemadeholiday101.com/blog, will offer tips to consumers for creating a perfect Homemade Holiday. The promotion will also have advertising support from third-party brands and partners, author and blogger involvement, and more.

On November 30, the Workman Homemade Holiday 101 Daily Newsletter will be dedicated to Small Business Saturday and will encourage all subscribers to visit independent bookstores, either virtually (by shopping indies for eBooks) or in-person.

Four titles in Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series are being offered at $3.99 or less. Kobo has created a landing page link that bookstores can share with customers via their websites or social channels; all booksellers have to do is include their affiliate tracking at the end.
