New-and-Improved Discover Kobo

Kobo has just relaunched a new and improved training portal for store staff. Discover Kobo is available to all staff members who wish to learn more about devices, the app, and all sorts of tools to help sell content to customers.

 What’s new?

• Completely new site and user experience — improved look and feel, navigation, promotional banners, etc.
• New courses and sales resources — including sell sheets, comparison grids, and videos.
• Kobo Rewards — allows users to earn badges for bragging rights and promotional codes to be used towards eBooks from kobo.com [6].
• Monthly eNewsletter — focused on key training topics, tips and tricks, and how-tos.

Existing discoverkobo.com [7] users (registered on the old site) will have to re-register to the new site and have received an email asking them to do so.

Note: Physical in-store gift cards (mentioned in the “extras”section) are not available for U.S. retailers.

Hachette Preorder Promotion

Hachette is offering new eBook releases in the month of July at special preorder prices. Titles include Edan Lepucki’s California, the Indies Introduce New Voices title Illusive by Emily Lloyd Jones, and for the kids, How to Be a Viking by How to Train Your Dragon author Cressida Cowell.
