Retail Sales at Bookstores Up in November [3]

Retail sales at bookstores were up by 7.5 percent in November 2015 compared to November 2014, according to preliminary figures recently released by the Bureau of the Census.

November 2015 bookstore sales are estimated at $757 million, compared to sales of $704 million for the same period last year.

Total retail and food service sales in November 2015 are estimated at $444.6 billion, compared to $437.2 billion in November 2014, an increase of 1.7 percent.
