ABA and Shelf Awareness to Launch Kids’ Indie Next List eNewsletter Pilot Program [5]

At the ABC Children’s Institute [7], which kicks off this evening in Portland, Oregon, the American Booksellers Association and Shelf Awareness will be announcing a pilot e-newsletter program for the quarterly Kids’ Indie Next List. The program to launch in June with the upcoming summer list will feature the Indie Next List’s bookseller recommendations and an interview with the author of the Kids’ List’s number-one pick.

As with the adult Indie Next List e-newsletter program, which launched in September 2016 [8], the Kids’ Indie Next List newsletter will be store-branded. Each store will retain all of their customer e-mail addresses; the book “buy” button will link back to the store website; and all e-mail replies will go to the store e-mail address.

Watch for more details and sign-up information for the Kids’ Indie Next List eNewsletter, powered by Shelf Awareness, in next week’s edition of Bookselling This Week; booksellers with questions can e-mail ABA Senior Program Officer Joy Dallanegra-Sanger [9] after April 12.
