The Islander Bookshop [7] is now open in Kodiak, Alaska [8].

Old Town Books [9] will open in San Angelo, Texas, this month [10].

Half Price Books [11] has opened a location [12] in Concord, California.

Greedy Reads [13] in Baltimore, Maryland, held a soft opening for its new location [14].

Napa Bookmine [15] will reopen in the former location of Main Street Books in St. Helena [16], California, under the name Main Street Bookmine.

Interabang Books [17] in Dallas, Texas, reopened in a new location [18] after its former space was destroyed in a storm last month.

Roebling Point Books & Coffee [19] in Covington, Kentucky, is looking to move to a new location [20].

Montclair Book Center [21] in Montclair, New Jersey, is celebrating 35 years in business [22].

Loganberry Books [23] in Shaker Heights, Ohio, is hosting a holiday open house [24] for its 25th anniversary.

Zenith Bookstore [25] in Duluth, Minnesota, will be celebrating Jólabókaflóð, an Icelandic holiday tradition of gifting books, beginning on December 1 with free gift wrapping and complimentary chocolate. The celebration will run through December 24.

Nick Buzanski, formerly general manager and a buyer at Book Culture [26] in Manhattan, has joined Books Are Magic [27] in Brooklyn, New York, as general manager.

Three Lives & Co. [28] in New York City was profiled by the New York Times Style Magazine [29].

AFK Books & Records [30] in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was featured in the article “Lengthy corporate career leads to indie book and record store in Virginia Beach [31].”

From My Shelf [32] in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, was featured in an article called “Huck and Finn: Two Bonded Bookstore Cats With a Lovely Story of Their Own [33].”

Park Road Books [34] in Charlotte, North Carolina, had its staff dog Yola included in Charlotte Magazine [35]’s 2019 Charlotteans of the Year.

Anderson’s Bookshops [36]’ annual Book Club Open House event looked at popular recent books and anticipated titles for 2020, The Chicago Tribune [37]reported.

Wishing Tree Books [38] in Spokane, Washington, was featured in the article “Janelle Smith’s new kid-centric Wishing Tree Books is the culmination of a dream, and years of work [39].”

Page 2 Books [40] in Burien, Washington, was included in an article called “After moving ‘about 20 feet,’ Burien’s Page 2 Books is reconnecting with its community [40].”

Novel Bay Booksellers [41] in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, was featured on the Door County Pulse’s One-on-One podcast [42].

Milkweed Editions will publish Little Shell (forthcoming in 2021) by Fact & Fiction [43] bookseller Chris La Tray.

New Dominion Bookshop [44] in Charlottesville, Virginia, prepared for Thanksgiving with a “Well-Read Turkey,” handmade by bookseller Jennifer Grover. Booksellers can watch the full tutorial, courtesy of Cheshire Public Library, here [45]. The store also hosted The Virginia Bells, an all-girls a cappella group at the University of Virginia, along with other musical groups as a way to spread good cheer and encourage new customers to stop by.
