At the Thursday morning breakfast keynote at Winter Institute 15, American Booksellers Association COO Joy Dallanegra-Sanger announced that Winter Institute 2021 is set to take place at the Duke Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pre-institute programming and the opening reception will take place on Sunday, February 7, 2021, followed by three days of Winter Institute programming, from Monday, February 8, through Wednesday, February 10.

Cincinnati, a city bustling with development, offers a compact and easy-to-navigate footprint, inviting next year’s Winter Institute attendees to explore the city — from Findlay Market, one of the nation’s oldest public markets, to the giant swings lining the riverfront at the new Smale Park. Cincinnati offers five entertainment districts, a new streetcar system, hip bars and restaurants, and a booming craft beer scene, in addition to dozens of indie booksellers in the greater metropolitan area.
