Independent Bookstore Day Moves to August 29 [4]

Independent Bookstore Day logoDue to the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), Independent Bookstore Day [6] (IBD), the national celebration of independent bookstores, will now take place on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

The new date remains tentative as IBD and ABA monitor the situation.

Bookstore Day orders will not ship until it is confirmed that the event is happening. Booksellers will not be charged or invoiced until orders ship.

The Shea Serrano title Basketball (And Other Things) has been postponed by Abrams until October, so that item will be automatically deleted from orders.

Bookstore Day will be promoting a campaign to support independent bookstores around the original celebration date, April 25, in an effort to boost public enthusiasm for Bookstore Day and books.
