ABA Summer Reading Program Invites Kids to Fill Out Reading Journal [5]

"Summer Reading Journal" over woodland camp sceneBooksellers can visit BookWeb.org’s Marketing Assets section [7] to download promotional materials for the “Give Me Summer, Give Me Books!” summer reading program launched this week by the ABC Children’s Group at ABA [8].

Rather than another reading challenge, this year’s program offers young bookstore customers a reading journal that invites them to slow down and explore their love of reading.

The reading journal accommodates up to 10 books and encourages young readers to engage with books on a variety of levels, whether through illustrating the story’s plot or capturing a favorite sentence. Unnumbered journal pages are also available for download. Stores can brand each page with their logo.

The ABC Group’s summer reading program materials can be downloaded from BookWeb’s Marketing Assets page [7] now. The program is open to all ABA member bookstores.

Booksellers with questions about the program should contact ABC Children’s Group Manager Gen de Botton [9].
