[7]For the seventh consecutive season, publishers are offering specials on 10 adult titles and 10 children’s titles [7] chosen by panels of booksellers from across the U.S. as the top upcoming debuts. The crop of Winter/Spring Indies Introduce titles include adult fiction and nonfiction, middle grade, and YA publishing between January and June 2016.

“What great fun and a privilege it was to serve on the Adult Indies Introduce panel,” said chair Jamie Fiocco of Flyleaf Books [8], in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. “The opportunity to read really good, practically unknown writers’ work and then be able to discuss them at length with knowledgeable booksellers was exhilarating…. It was a great reminder that we all read differently, but ultimately a good book is a good book! I’m so excited to see the books we were reading start to come out into the world, and to already know they’re loved by booksellers across the country.”

Chair of the Middle Grade/Young Adult Debut panel Drew Sieplinga, of Wild Rumpus [9] in Minneapolis, said, “Indies Introduce has been a wonderful experience — discovering new authors alongside like-minded independent booksellers. I’m excited to share and promote these beautiful and varied new voices!”

For stores that have taken part in past Indies Introduce promotions, there’s no need to sign up to take advantage of publishers’ Winter/Spring offers; however, stores that are new to Indies Introduce must complete the Indies Introduce sign-up form [10] by October 31 to participate in the program.
