For Sale: Pearl Street Books and Gifts in Washington State

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Our 20-year-old bookstore, located in historic downtown Ellensburg, Washington, is for sale. Pearl Street Books & Gifts, LLC is a two-story brick building that was built in 1888, and has 2,163 square feet of prime retail space. The property has a beautiful brick storefront with two large bay display windows, flower pots, and sits next to the very popular Dakota Café, and the historic Clymer Museum. As you enter the store, you notice the large, vintage brick walls and the 815-square-foot open loft, used for book clubs and as extra retail space. The store is community-oriented, sells many categories of new books plus sidelines, and is known for its Polish Pottery, and greeting cards from Europe. The store's well-known book club table and all the fixtures are included in the sale. There is potential to open up the retail space by double, which would do very well with fresh new ideas and a creative touch.
