San Francisco's City Lights Bookstore Seeks Booksellers

City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco is looking for a full-time bookseller and a fill-in bookseller.

The full-time position will have a fixed schedule of approximately 32-40 hours per week. Responsibilities will include working the cash register, providing customer service, shelving, and receiving. Previous bookstore experience is greatly preferred for this position.

The fill-in position is on-call without a fixed schedule, usually picking up one or two shifts a week. This is great as a second gig or as a way to earn something extra around other obligations. Previous bookstore experience is preferred, but retail experience will be considered. Responsibilities will include working the cash register, providing customer service, and shelving.

While a love of books is a must, candidates should also be comfortable lifting boxes and spending the day on one’s feet. As we are open daily from 10am to 12am, only candidates with availability on weekends and evenings until midnight will be considered.
