IndieCommerce

  • Customer Support
    IndieCommerce customer support hours are now extended!
    • Regular Business Hours:
      Monday - Friday, 8am to 8pm EST: For IndieCommerce/IndieLite customer support ONLY please contact [email protected] (All other ABA inquires can be directed to [email protected].)
    • For After Hours Emergency IndieCommerce & IndieLite issues:
      An emergency issue means that your customers can't buy anything from your website or your staff can't process any online orders. Your website is essentially broken and cannot take orders or process any transactions. If your website has an emergency issue, please check the IndieCommerce status page first. If your issue has not been reported, submit a critical outage report and staff will be alerted immediately. We encourage you to bookmark these pages and have your login info readily available in case of emergency.
  • Catching Fraud On Your Website
    Along with the increase in online sales, we’ve also seen a corresponding increase in online fraud orders. We have someone monitoring fraud activity daily and have launched several new initiatives to catch fraud transactions on IndieCommerce and IndieLite websites.

    If you find a fraudulent order on your website please report it to [email protected] with “Fraud Order” in the subject line. Please also include the order number in your email. We’re compiling a list of email addresses that have been involved in fraudulent orders and are updating it on a regular basis. The list is now available to IndieCommerce and IndieLite websites to review. The new list is password protected on Bookweb.org. You can view it here: www.bookweb.org/fraud-report

    We’re trying to make it as difficult as possible to place a fraudulent order on IndieCommerce and IndieLite websites. With our network of almost 600 stores sharing online fraud information, our hope is that this new fraud report will become a valuable tool for our members.

Independent Bookstore Day - 8/29/20
IBD 2020 is a week away! Here’s the info. You need:

EventBrite
The contact # (888-414-5119) for EventBrite is no longer in service. To reach Eventbrite, bookstores are advised to click on Contact Us. You will click on areas related to your question(s) to arrive at a button for "I still need help.” You'll then see the options for contacting support including email, chat, and phone support.  

USPS
It’s critical that we keep the pressure on to fund and support USPS. Danny Caine’s (The Raven Book Store) Op Ed in PW speaks to why this issue is so important to bookstores. If you haven’t had a chance yet, take a moment to send a letter or sign a petition and ask your customers for their support as well.
