Dear Booksellers,

What to Do

Today is the deadline to get into the Indie Next List e-newsletter program in time to send the May title list to your customers! Visit Matchbook Marketing’s Indie Next List page ASAP to upload your contact list and logo.

Set aside the hour from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 6, for ABA’s ShopTalk, where you can chat with fellow booksellers about anything and everything. Watch your inbox for the meeting link a few hours before the event. Didn’t get it? Email info@bookweb.org.

Tell your customers to join the A Universe of Wishes virtual reading series, which takes place every Wednesday (starting April 7) throughout the month. Download the marketing materials from BookWeb.

Join the April 8 Technology Meetup to learn about ABA’s new credit credit card processing partner, Gravity Payments. Sign up at the bottom of the Meetups page to get the link for the session, where you can learn more about the exclusive pricing and terms Gravity offers for ABA members.

Sign up now for two free sessions for ABA members from the Center for Anti-Violence Education: a de-escalation workshop (April 15) and a session on microaggressions in the workplace (April 22).

What to Know

Danny Caine, owner of the Raven Book Store in Lawrence, Kansas, recently held an event for his book How to Resist Amazon and Why. See the event recording here and check out the handout “How to talk about Amazon with your customers and community.”
