Fraudulent Online Orders
When canceling fraudulent orders on your IndieCommerce or IndieLite website, please use the new Cancel - Fraud order status. This order status allows your store to tag these orders as being fraudulent, allowing you to better monitor fraud activity on your website. If we can get every store on IndieCommerce and IndieLite use Cancel Fraud it will allow us to more closely monitor fraud orders across the entire IndieCommerce system. We can then alert ABA members to fraud trends and red flags as they evolve and more accurately alert members to possible fraud activity faster. The Cancel Fraud order status is just another 'Cancel' state and functions exactly the same way as the default 'Cancel' order status. We’re just making it easier to find them.

UPDATE - IndieCommerce Outage
On Thursday (11/19) IndieCommerce had an outage that was caused by one of our hosting services after they pushed an update to one of our servers without our knowledge. This update brought our entire system down. We were immediately alerted by our automated monitoring system as well as ABA members. IndieCommerce staff rapidly identified the issue and had all sites back online within 35 minutes.

If your IndieCommerce or IndieLite website ever goes down, your first stop should be the IndieCommerce Status Page. If we have an outage and we are aware of it, the IndieCommerce staff will immediately update that page and then post follow-up updates as warranted. If you don’t see a message about an outage on that page, please email us at [email protected] with “URGENT” in the subject line. Take a few seconds now, to bookmark the IndieCommerce Status Page for future reference.
