The IndieCommerce Team & The Holidays ABA staff including the Indiecommerce support team will be off for the holidays from December 23rd - January 2nd. We will be monitoring incoming customer support tickets but non urgent tickets will not be addressed until after our support team returns.
As always, we will respond as quickly as possible to any critical outage reports we receive. Critical outages are situations where your customers can not purchase items on your website or your store can not process any online orders. Examples might include your website being offline or a key function like the shopping cart on your website is not working.
Online Sales Volume Jumps - Check Authorize.net Settings We’re seeing an unusual increase in the ecommerce conversion rate on Indiecommerce websites over the past few days. The ecommerce conversion rate is the percentage of customers on Indiecommerce websites who are completing an online purchase. On Sunday (12/11) through Tuesday (12/13) the ecommerce conversion rate exceeded the same 3 day period in 2021. So the percentage of customers on IndieCommerce websites who were completing an online purchase was higher than last year and may continue at that pace.
This is great news, but as a result we received reports from several stores that the increased volume of credit card transactions on their website triggered an anti-fraud filter on their Authorize.net account. This temporarily stopped all credit card transactions on their website. To avoid this issue on your website, check the anti fraud filter settings on your store's Authorize.net account.
