Here’s what’s happening in the world of indie bookstores this week:
Wonderland Bookshop [7] is set to open [8] in Greensboro, North Carolina. A ribbon-cutting will be held on October 18.
Booked [9], a children’s bookstore in Evanston, Illinois, is now open [10].
Green Apple Books [11] in San Francisco, California, is celebrating 51 years of business [12] at its Clement Street location the weekend of October 13–14. The store is offering discounts and gift cards as well as a free tote bag for customers who bring in someone who has never before been to Green Apple.
Annie Bloom’s Books [13] will celebrate its 40th birthday [14] with an afternoon party featuring cake, sparkling beverages, and coffee on October 28.
