On Wednesday, May 8, the American Booksellers Association posted detailed information about the association’s search for its new chief executive officer.

The document, which is available now on BookWeb [4], was created by ABA’s CEO search committee in consultation with the outside search firm of Isaacson, Miller.

The members of the CEO search committee are ABA Board President Robert Sindelar of Third Place Books [5], with three locations in the Seattle area; ABA Vice President Jamie Fiocco of Flyleaf Books [6] in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; ABA Board members Bradley Graham of Politics & Prose [7] in Washington, D.C., Christine Onorati of WORD Bookstores [8] in Brooklyn, New York, and Jersey City, New Jersey, and Annie Philbrick of Bank Square Books [9] in Mystic, Connecticut, and Savoy Bookshop and Café in Westerly, Rhode Island; and ABA member booksellers Gayle Shanks of Changing Hands Bookstore [10] in Tempe, Arizona, and Len Vlahos of Tattered Cover Book Store [11] in Denver, Colorado.

Current ABA CEO Oren Teicher announced in March [12] that he would be retiring at the end of the year.
