Learn About Batch for Books at Winter Institute [4]
- By Sydney Jarrard [5]
Batch for Books [6] is a new electronic invoicing system created for booksellers and publishers in the U.S., and attendees at this month’s Winter Institute [7] in Baltimore have two opportunities to learn more about the service.
The education session “Operations: Batch for Books [8]” will take place on Wednesday, January 22, from 10:40 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. in the University Ballroom on the first floor of the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards.
CEO Fraser Tanner will moderate a panel of U.K. and U.S. booksellers who have been part of the U.S. Batch for Books beta test. The software-assisted service, based on the version used in the U.K., helps initiate payments between vendors and bookstore retailers at no cost to bookstores.
In addition, one-on-one appointments with Batch representatives will take place in Poe B at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor during the following periods:
- Wednesday, January 22: 9:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday, January 23: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Friday, January 24, 2020: 9:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Booksellers can sign up for one-on-ones with Batch here [9].
