The promotion runs through February 28, 2022, and features additional discounts and dating to help indies overcome the challenges presented by the pandemic.

WHAT TO KNOW

ABA health insurance partner LIG Solutions launched a new subscription pharmacy benefit, called LIG Solutions Rx, designed to help ABA members save on both prescription and over-the-counter medications. Booksellers can sign up for this benefit whether they have other insurance or not. Learn more here.

Here is the Indie Travel Bestseller List, based on sales at independent bookstores nationwide for the eight-week period ending July 4, 2021.

American Express has committed more than $100 million to its new “Let’s Go Shop Small” campaign. Accept Amex? List your store on Amex’s national Shop Small Map. American Express is also continuing to help Black-owned small businesses with a $10 million commitment through the Coalition to Back Black Businesses.

Through July 20, bookstore owners and community leaders can apply to serve on the Small Business Administration's (SBA) Council on Underserved Communities. The Council helps support the SBA’s prioritization of equity across its program and initiatives.

The federal health insurance marketplace and most state exchanges are open for a Special Enrollment Period through August 15. Booksellers can also take advantage of newly expanded subsidies enacted under the American Rescue Plan. Learn more here.
