Registration for the American Booksellers Association’s inaugural ABC Children’s Institute [6] at BookExpo America [7] is currently booked to capacity. ABA member booksellers interested in attending the full-day, June 6 event can add their names to the waiting list via a form on the Institute website [8].

If space opens up due to cancellations, ABA will contact booksellers on the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis. The Kids’ Institute education program is free and open to all ABA members; registration is not required for those who wish to attend the education program only.

Tickets are still available for the Children’s Art Auction [9] benefiting the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression [10]. The event, which is from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on June 6 at the Javits Center, is a great opportunity to buy wonderful art as well as socialize with friends from around the country. Light refreshments, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be served.

Tickets for the Children’s Art Auction and Reception are $95 ($75 for bookseller members of the ABC Children’s Group) and can be purchased here [9]. Tickets purchased onsite will be $105 ($85 for ABC booksellers).
