Registration for Children’s Institute to Open January 11 [5]

Scholarship applications accepted through January 31

Registration for the fifth ABC Children’s Institute [7] (Ci5) will open to booksellers at all American Booksellers Association member stores next Wednesday, January 11. The 2017 Children’s Institute will be held at the Red Lion Hotel on the River – Jantzen Beach in Portland, Oregon, from April 5–7.

Applications for Children’s Institute publisher-sponsored scholarships [8] are being accepted through January 31. Booksellers at ABA member stores that did not have a Children’s Institute scholarship winner in 2015 or 2016 are eligible to apply. Scholarships will cover the conference fee, the cost of airfare or ground transportation up to $400, and two hotel nights plus tax.
