Ci10 will be here before we know it. With this amazing lineup of authors and speakers so far, there is so much exciting programming that it’s difficult to narrow down highlights: The children’s book character costume party is always a favorite (a scholarship to Ci11 is among the prizes!). The Juneteenth celebration promises to be special. The bookstore bus tour is a chance to explore a bookish Phoenix.
We have fantastic keynotes and featured speakers with more to come, including our newly announced Closing Keynote: Charlie Jane Anders! Charlie Jane Anders is the author of Victories Greater Than Death, the first book in the Unstoppable trilogy, Even Greater Mistakes: Stories, Never Say You Can’t Survive, The City in the Middle of the Night, and All the Birds in the Sky. She’s won the Hugo, Nebula, Sturgeon, Lambda Literary, Crawford, and Locus Awards. She has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slate, McSweeney’s, Mother Jones, Tor.com, Tin House, and other places. Her TED Talk, “Go Ahead, Dream About the Future” got 700,000 views in its first week, and she co-hosts the podcast Our Opinions Are Correct. We hope you join us for what's sure to be a special occasion in person with the bookselling community.
